Treasured Tools

My antique leaf and flower-making tools have been passed down from milliner to milliner to me.

They are specifically designed for making intricate leaves and flowers. Each tool has been beautifully crafted in a bygone era.I cherish the quality tools and materials that I’ve gathered over many years. 

Using them requires patience and skill. I cut each fabric shape and then heat-set them into a 3D shapes. To achieve a clean, crisp finish, I need to be meticulous and precise. They allow me to create custom flowers and leaves that are unique to each piece I make. I can adjust the size, shape, and colour of each piece to complement my design. This level of customisation is something that cannot be achieved with mass-produced flowers and leaves.
