The M'DAM Collection

I enjoy creating with materials, fabrics, ribbons, and trims from bygone eras that carry a richness not seen in modern materials. The M'DAM Collection honours the Make Do and Mend campaign that originated in WWII. 

Often vintage fabrics and trims bear the quiet beauty of imperfection. A tiny fray, a subtle irregularity, a trace of the years. Rather than considering these flaws, I see them as marks of authenticity - the delicate fingerprints of time itself. They are vintage materials  transformed —  heirlooms reborn - a piece of the past reimagined for the present.

In a world of abundance and repetition, these pieces stand apart— fashioned slowly with rare and cherished items. Choosing headwear crafted from vintage materials shows care for the rare and irreplaceable; an appreciation of sustainability; and honours the past and the future.
